Live demo · The Bird & Barley
An invented Thame pub, built to show how this works. Everything in it runs. It is not a real venue.
THE THAME PLEDGE

Based in Thame? Half price. Always.

Registered Thame businesses pay 50% of every listed price. Not an intro offer — the standing rate.

1

Open the menu and add something to the order.

2

Send it. WhatsApp opens with the order written out.

3

Then More, Kitchen and till, PIN 1874. Your order is on the board.

Sound familiar?

IN THEIR WORDS“I’m paying commission on regulars who would have come anyway.”
IN THEIR WORDS“The menu online is a PDF from March and I cannot change it myself.”
IN THEIR WORDS“Bookings arrive on three different channels and none of them talk.”

Two halves, one system.

One app for the customer, one screen for the kitchen. They are the same system, so an order placed on a phone is a ticket on the pass before the customer has put it back in their pocket.

FRONT OF HOUSE

The app the customer holds

Menu, collection ordering, table bookings, loyalty, what is on, directions. It lives at your own web address and saves to the home screen. No app store, no commission, no one between you and the person eating your food.

THE PASS

The screen behind the kitchen

Live order tickets, the bookings diary, and one tap to take a dish off. Chef runs out of haddock at eight, taps it off, and it greys out on every phone looking at your menu.

How it works.

01

See it working

The demo on this page is the product. Tap through it, then tell us what your venue needs that it does not do yet.

02

Menu handover, one sitting

We take the menu however it exists: a PDF, a Word file, a photograph of the board. Prices, sections, dietary flags and service times go in. That is the only real work you do.

03

Built in your colours

Your name, your palette, your photography, your venue record. Content is worked out during setup, not billed to you as an extra afterwards.

04

Live on your own domain

Your address, your accounts, your customer list. The Pass set up on the tablet already sitting on your pass, and the kitchen trained in twenty minutes.

Straight answers.

Do my customers have to download anything?

No. It is your website. They tap the menu on their phone the way they do now, and they can save it to their home screen if they want it sitting there.

Where do the orders actually go?

To your WhatsApp, written out in full, and onto the kitchen screen as a numbered ticket. Payment is at the bar on collection, so there is nothing new to reconcile at cash up.

Who keeps the menu up to date?

You do, from your phone, in about a minute. Or we do it on the monthly. Either way you are never waiting on us to change a price.

We already use an ordering app. Is this instead of that?

Not unless you want it to be. Keep it for reach. Send your regulars here instead, so the people who would have come anyway stop costing you a cut of every order.

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks from the menu handover for most venues. The menu is the long pole, and we do that in one sitting with you.

What happens if we stop?

Domain, code, accounts and artwork are in your name from day one. The monthly is monthly. Leave when you like and take the lot with you.

Stop paying four companies to run your pub.

Ordering, bookings, loyalty and the kitchen screen in one thing you own outright. Every price is on this page, and registered Thame businesses pay half of it.
